The embedded librarian program where a librarian is added to your Canvas course. An embedded librarian works directly within your course, providing real-time support.

If students are struggling with a research project, they can message the embedded librarian through Canvas. They can help students with their research, suggest databases, and even provide tips on citation styles—all while they’re working on their project. In this scenario, everyone wins students can quickly find answers at the point-of-need, the librarian is able to give accurate answers more quickly thanks to having access to assignment requirements, and faculty are able to reclaim the time that would have otherwise been spent fielding research or formatting questions.
