Adaptability and flexibility are two very similar concepts, often used interchangeably or simultaneously in job descriptions. In the workplace, being adaptable and flexible could include how responsive you are to new information; how well you handle change and adapt in uncertain situations and circumstances; or your ability to manage new responsibilities or projects.
Situations and industries can change quickly and organizations must be ready to face new challenges or be left behind. As organizations adapt, so must its employees. Effectively responding to change and uncertainty is vital in the workplace.
