Banned Books Week is an annual celebration of the freedom to read! For more than 40 years, the purpose of Banned Books Week has been to discourage censorship while creating awareness of banned and challenged books.

In 2023, attempts to ban books from public libraries surged to record levels. The titles featured here are e-books from the TSTC online library collection that have been targeted at some point in history for removal or restriction from libraries across the country. Some of these books have even faced bans worldwide!
