Mental Health Matters!

It’s normal for moods to dip from time to time, and sometimes we might need an extra bit of help to pick it back up. The resources in this guide might ease your worries, inspire you, or help you to get practical support.

Bipolar Disorder

Bipolar disorder is a lifelong mood disorder and mental health condition that causes intense shifts in mood, energy levels, thinking patterns and behavior. These shifts can last for hours, days, weeks or months and interrupt your ability to carry out day-to-day tasks. For more information visit the Cleveland Clinic's website.

If you are not diagnosed with bipolar disorder but feel you suffer from symptoms of it you should speak to your doctor. Make an appointment, and they will talk through the next steps with you, which is often being referred to a psychologist or psychiatrist. This is so they can understand the best next steps to take with treatment and support.
