The National Association of Journeymen Linemen was created to promote the profession of Journeymen Linemen. For decades the profession of a Journeyman Lineman has been one of brotherhood, sacrifice and dedication. The NAJL's goal is: To provide an organization dedicated to the tradition of Journeymen Linemen. To highlight this profession thereby encouraging our youth to consider it as a career. To honor the individuals who have helped to advance the safety and education of this courageous profession. To assist the families of fallen Linemen. To promote continuing education for our present day Journeymen Linemen.

NECA offers a variety of ANSI-approved performance and workmanship industry standards for electrical construction. NEIS are also referenced throughout the National Electrical Code.

As a quarterly publication, many of the article ideas or content comes directly from the linemen themselves; this strengthens our community of lineman by providing stories and reports right from the field. It is our goal to continue to provide a publication that is informative, educational and entertaining to the men and women of the power industry.

Rural Electric (RE) Magazine, the flagship publication of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association, provides electric co-op directors/trustees, chief executives, and front-line employees with the in-depth information they need to make sound decisions in today’s fast-paced electric utility industry.
