Agave: The Spirit of a Nation
For the Mexican families who have been involved in the production of mezcal and tequila for generations, the agave plant has always been more than just a plant. The stunningly photographed documentary Agave: The Spirit Of A Nation follows a number of agave farmers who make the popular spirits the traditional way, and gives us a small glimpse of the considerable amounts of blood, sweat and tears that go into the production of the historically important – now trendy – drink. The result is a beautiful meditation on people and the land they live off.

It also explores the criminalization of mental illness, tragedy of youth suicide, and “double stigma” that occurs when mental illness is combined with racial or gender discrimination. Throughout, the interviewees demonstrate the power of resiliency and hope. Distributed by PBS Distribution.

Going Attractions: The Definitive Story of the Movie Palace
Going Attractions celebrates the splendor and grandeur of the great cinemas of the United States, built when movies were the acme of entertainment and the stories were larger than life, as were the venues designed to show them: Thousands of seats, giant screens, exotic and ornate interiors with balconies and lounges, in-house organs and orchestras, amazing marquees, and air conditioning back when houses had none. The film also tracks the eventual decline of the palaces, through to today’s current preservation efforts. A tribute to America’s great art form and the great monuments created for audiences to enjoy them in.

Apologize and Reduce Conflict
"Apologize and Reduce Conflict" is a video that acknowledges we all make mistakes or realise we are in the wrong. It's how we deal with our mistakes that makes the difference. Many people view an apology as a sign of weakness but apologizing for our mistakes requires a lot of strength and self-awareness. In this video you will learn to reduce conflict and build positive relationships with customers, contractors and coworkers. Apologizing demonstrates honesty and generosity. When we apologize we show we are aware of what has happened and we acknowledge that it was unacceptable. This helps rebuild trust and re-establish our relationship with the person we have upset or offended. In this video psychologists Eve Ash and Peter Quarry explain the benefits of apologizing and ways to effectively apologize to reduce conflict. A good apology is one of the most important tools for maintaining workplace harmony, collaboration and effective problem-solving. If you make a mistake, consider who you need to apologize to – your superiors, to your team or an individual co-worker, to a client – and the best way to do it.

Curtail the Rambler
"Curtail the Rambler" is a video designed to provide skills to respectfully deal with a coworker, customer or supplier who takes too long to get to the point. In this video you will learn ways to deal with long-winded talkers. It can be difficult to tell people that they talk too much, and even more difficult if it is a manager or an important customer. In this video, psychologists Eve Ash and Peter Quarry explain what happens when we feel trapped in a conversation by a long-winded person, and how we can politely and respectfully use techniques to manage the rambler.

Give Feedback About Body Odor
"Give Feedback about Body Odor" is a video to help develop skills to tackle the hard task of telling someone they have body odor or bad breath – a surprisingly common problem faced by many people. But how do you tell them in a way that doesn't upset or offend them, and create even more problems? It is challenging and must be dealt with quickly but sensitively. Discussing this issue can be embarrassing, so you need to be empathic and treat the person with dignity. In this video, psychologists Eve Ash and Peter Quarry explain how to address the issue of sensitive hygiene feedback while creating minimum embarrassment for the person.

Manage Overload and Relieve Stress
"Manage Overload and Relieve Stress" is avideo to help people struggling with issues of stress, anxiety and overload that affect them at work and at home. In this video you will learn to manage stress and overload and restore work-life balance by changing your mindset and taking positive action to get back in control. When people feel overwhelmed they are easily distracted and agitated, the quality of their work deteriorates, they may work more hours or start to take work home and so create a poor work/life balance. Failing to effectively manage stress can lead to health problems such as physical and emotional exhaustion, depression, eating disorders, drinking too much, poor sleep, anger and irritability. We all need to acknowledge problems, and take action to relieve or overcome them. In this video, psychologists Eve Ash and Peter Quarry, give practical advice for what people can do to manage time and priorities, and take control to relieve stress and overload.

Overcome Feeling Excluded
"Overcome Feeling Excluded" is a video in the SKILLS FOR ME SERIES to provide skills for people who feel excluded from what is happening. Exclusion negatively affects morale, productivity, communication and collaboration in the workplace. In today’s world of constant social media communication, Fear Of Missing Out (FOMO) is common. But fearing we are missing out and knowing we are being left out are quite different. We can all jump to conclusions, and it is important to identify and accept our own emotions and actions. However sometimes exclusion is real – you know things are happening and you are not being included. In this video psychologists Eve Ash and Peter Quarry talk about feeling and being excluded, and some possible reasons for it, such as cultural differences, ethnicity, age, gender or sexuality.
