About the Learning Resource Center
The Learning Resource Center is located next door to the Student Center. We have resources to assist you academically or to entertain you. You can find;
- Course-related books, newspapers, magazines, and journals
- Popular Fiction and nonfiction books- new titles arrive monthly
- Gobi notification system of new publications
- Information literacy and orientations in the classroom and library
- Multimedia resources (DVD, CD, & Audiobook)
- Entertainment DVD’s -new titles arrive monthly
- Printing, copying, and scanning services
- Proxy borrowing
- Reading and study areas for individuals and groups
- Textbook reserves with Faculty collaboration
- Tutoring
The LRC has a computer lab, with 80 computers, and offers free printing, Wi-Fi, and programs to assist students with coursework including Microsoft Office,Quickbooks, and Zoom Text..
TSTC employees and students have access to the LRC's electronic resources 24/7! The LibGuides page provides access to electronic resources including academic journals, e-books, databases, magazines, newspapers, research guides, and tutorials. LibGuides presents quick links to Waco LRC announcements, reference help, and new information.
The online Library Catalog allows users to search book, e-book and media collections. TSTC employees and students may request books from any TSTC LRC location using the TSTC/LRC BookShare program! The LRC also participates in TexShare, a cooperative program designed to improve library services to Texas through the sharing of resources. TexShare Cards, which let cardholders borrow materials from other participating TexShare libraries, are available upon request at the circulation desk for TSTC employees.
