What are Essential College Skills?

Essential College Skills are skills that you use in all of your classes only a daily basis.  Your time is valuable.  TSTC Libraries wants to help you succeed by giving you the ability to use the tools at your disposal without having to memorize what each application does.  Whether it is using specific software for your assignments, prepping for a presentation, or learning how to use your library's resources for research, our goal is to get you the information you need as quick and efficiently as possible.

Microsoft Word Training

Word 2013 Training -

Start building better documents with Microsoft Word. In this course, author David Rivers teaches you the basics of creating, editing, and formatting documents in Word 2013. Topics include: creating new documents, saving documents and document versions, editing PDFs in Word, cutting, copying, and pasting text, finding and replacing text, undoing mistakes, adjusting paragraph and page formatting, applying themes and styles to documents, illustrating with pictures, shapes, and clip art, creating and saving macros and Quick Parts, checking spelling and grammar, and tracking changes and inserting comments.
